1. Choose a Tray Design
Cable Trunking: is generally used for minimal heat generating
electrical or communication applications, equipped with covers to
offer a completely enclosed wire management solution.
Cable Ladder:
two longitudinal side rails connected by individual
O-Rung/U-Channel spaced on 150, 225, 300 or 600 mm centers. Cable
Ladders are used in applications with intermediate to long support
spans.
Perforated Cable Trays: is generally used for moderate heat generating applications, provided with slot openings for sufficient ventilation. Available in all materials.
2. Choose a metal and finish
Aluminum: copper-free and corrosion resistant. Lightweight. Used
indoor or outdoors.
Steel - Hot Dip Galvanized after Fabrication: primarily for outdoor
applications, as it provides excellent weather protection.
Steel - Mill Galvanized: indoor applications only.
Steel - Stainless: inherently corrosion resistant, but expensive.
Other Finishes: epoxy, primer, or standard paint.
3. Cable Support Systems Sizes
· Load Depth/Side Height: Interior Depth of the cable support system that is available for cable fill. Standard Depths are 25, 50, 75 and 100 mm. Custom depths are available.
· Width: Interior width of the cable support system is available for cable fill. Standard widths are 50, 100, 150, 200, 300, …, 1000 mm. Non-standard widths are also available.
Length: The overall length of the straight straight section. Standard lengths are 2 meters and 3 meters. Custom lengths are available.
